Opening Keynote – Predictive Analytics
What you don’t know is what you need to know
Brad Nelson. Chief Field Technologist at Hewlett Packard Enterprise

The information of things and predictive analytics are all around us.  Accurate analytics are now requiring multiple machines to handle massive amounts of data.  Tools are evolving beyond traditional current and historical analysis.  Today’s solutions need to include data platforms that can scale into the petabytes (PB) and beyond while being able to parallelize the commonly used machine learning algorithms.  Brad will share his experience and thoughts on where the industry is today and where he thinks it’s going next.

Brad Nelson is a Chief Field Technologist for Big Data at Hewlett Packard Enterprises.  An industry veteran in the Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse space, Brad focuses on applying analytics to Big Data.  He’s worked with organizations like Facebook on PB size data clusters but appreciates that much of the business world is powered by Excel.  His passion lies at the intersection of business and technology and ensuring technology truly delivers a compelling return on investment.  He works with both structured and unstructured data utilizing HPE’s Vertica, IDOL and HavenOnDemand APIs.
